Natural House Project

The Natural House Project is a collaboration between local people and design professionals.

David Pollard, a gardener from England, an architect Tomonari Waku and Sae Waku started a project to collaborate and work together in 2008. We conduct workshops making use of materials and specialties of local areas nationwide.

Do you remember how exciting it was when you were making sand balls or climbing trees in the woods? Every town has trees, earth, plants and flowers living. We would like you to remember its value afresh.

We will continue proposing spaces where people can come together; where people and nature are united, with an appreciation of the environment around us. Touching the earth and trees directly and seeing everyone’s smiles is the reward that keeps us going on.
